Voices from the Border (2021)
Refugees International wanted to bring awareness to the difficulties asylum seekers face when they arrive at the US border. Like most productions during this time, the pandemic made it difficult to travel to our subjects and interview them in person.
I was moved by all the emotional stories that our subjects we’re willing to share with us. The immigration policy in this country has never been and continues to be an imperfect one. These stories have helped shed light on the human side of this politicized issue and my hope is that they will influence some change for the better.
